DELWP will verify the authorisation or registration of vets, wildlife shelters and rescue organisations applying to be registered on the site.
This website provides vets, wildlife shelters and rescue and rehabilitation organisations to be listed as a contact on this website and accessed by members of the public to assist with injured wildlife they encounter. If you apply to be registered as a contact on the site, you may be contacted by email or phone, by the Victorian Government, for the purpose of verifying your status as an authorised or registered vet, wildlife shelter or rescue and/or rehabilitation organisation. By choosing to register on the Help for Injured Wildlife website, you are granting permission for DELWP to verify your authorisation or registration as a vet, wildlife shelter and foster carer or rehabilitation and rescue organisation, and to verify your organisation through other mechanisms, such as registration on the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission or by providing documentation that demonstrates your organisation is not-for-profit, involved in wildlife rehabilitation and/or rescue, not promoting unlawful activities, and not an individual, as required. This verification process is a requirement of being listed on the site, and by submitting an application form, you are agreeing to the requirements.
